Tortoise or hare? Leveraging trade-offs in multi-source, near real-time deforestation monitoring to benefit resource managers
Abstract
This oral presentation expanded on the results shared at the Winter 2021 AGU conference after a significant overhaul of how we calculated and presented errors when establishing the “best” method of detecting deforestation. At the time of presentation, detection times were < 5 days with overall F1 scores of > 0.90.
